Medicine Dance

with Jonathan Horan, Gabrielle Roth’s son and closest collaborator

A 5Rhythms® workshop for both advanced and beginning students. The 5Rhythms are a contemporary medicine wheel and Medicine Dance is a journey through the primary maps of the wheel nourishing the warrior-healer that is alive in each of us. Dancing for oneself, for each other, for our families, and for our communities is powerful medicine, a way to create a loving ripple effect in this world.

Yoga with Diane Long and Sophy Hoare

A yoga workshop in the tradition of Vanda Scaravelli
8th -11th May 2010 (9am – 1pm)

The emphasis is not on achieving postures but using them to undo tension and find integration. The practice is an ongoing exploration of the relationship between the parts of the body and between our movements and the breath, the ground and the space around us. Gradually a new network of muscles is brought into use. Then our movements come from the spine and bring us back to the spine and the whole body pulls together. We train our attention so that we can feel more, impose less, and allow the intelligence of the body to reveal itself.
