Following basic patterns and recipes, you will be guided through producing your own knitted shawl, following your fascinations by adding colour and texture. If you’re adventurous and love making things your own way, this is the perfect space to explore and let your creativity soar. If you prefer to follow patterns, Stephen will also provide several shawl shapes for you to follow. Level: Intermediate to experienced.
Materials not included. What to bring:
Bring a collection of yarns to knit a shawl and needles. If you have circular needles, bring those, but regular straight needles also work fine. 400-600 meters of worsted weight wool is enough to create a small to medium size shawl on a size US 9/4.5mm needle. If you prefer a finer weight fabric, bring some sock weight/fingering weight yarns and a US 5/3.75mm needle.
