Cath has worked as a community dance artist since 2003 and established Isabella Dance in 2008 to produce professional work. She is based in Alness and has been developing her practice as a community dance artist specifically working with older adults and people living with dementia. Cath has been awarded funds to support the development of a new piece of work exploring reflections and mirrors.
In December 2018, Cath completed a week long residency in her local village hall in Ardross. The funding allowed Cath to expand the residency to work with Julia McGhee and host a workshop open to the public. She was also able to commission the creation of four bespoke flexi-glass mirrors which were danced on and used as interactive set-design throughout. Cath is currently working with Charlotte on planning the next stage of development for the project and shared work from her residency in April at Universal Hall. Cath also has also benefitted from one-to-one support with Dance North Finance Manager Liz Egan to discuss the organisational structure of Isabella Dance. Read more at www.isabelladance.co.uk
