Chalk About is a playful, funny and sometimes moving look at how we see ourselves and others, featuring dance, chat and one perfect scene containing everything you could wish for…
The result of a creative relationship that began on the first Fresh Tracks Europe ‘Encounter’ in November 2011,Chalk About initiated by Het Lab, Utrecht. Christine and Leandro were “put” together for 10 days. As they went about getting to know each other through talking and dancing together they began to explore and question the nature of identity. Christine and Leandro asked these questions of themselves and a group of children in Utrecht, and subsequently other young people in Dusseldorf and Edinburgh, their responses becoming an integral part of the work, their voices featuring in the sound track.
The real charm of their disclosure is where it takes young audiences. **** Herald Scotland
