You’re Invited to a Wallflower Gathering!
Wallflower is a dance marathon in which the people on stage are trying to remember every dance they’ve ever danced. Some of them are professional dancers, some are not. Some of them might tell you that they can’t dance at all. Spanning a lifetime of music, fashion, politics, friendships, parties, love and loss, Wallflower is a show about how dancing shapes our lives. Find out more

The Mosset Tavern, Gordon Street, Forres, IV36 1DY
Alongside their tour, Quarantine are inviting local groups and individuals to join in with the game of trying to remember every dance they’ve ever danced.
In these informal ‘Wallflower Gatherings’, participants will be encouraged to reflect on and share the stories of their own remembered dances through conversation, writing and, of course, a bit of dancing!
Are you the first on the dance floor or do you watch from the side? Is there a song you can’t resist moving to? What was your first dance? When did you last dance? Do you have a dance that only happens when no-one else is watching? Do you dance with your dog? Or in the kitchen while you’re waiting for the kettle to boil? Is there a movement or ritual you do every day that has become like a choreographed dance?
Some of the stories collected will then be exhibited alongside the performance on 22 March 2019.
