One Flute Note

One Flute Note

Jonathan Burrows & Matteo Fargion
Over the past ten years Burrows and Fargion have built a body of duets that juxtapose the formality of music composition with a sometimes anarchic and open approach to performance and audiences. If you start with One Flute Note, where might you end up? Following on from The Cow Piece, Burrows and Fargion enter the realm of sound which takes you on an emotional journey of music and image.

There are few performers who can hold an audience captive like this double act … the timing of every note, shrug, laugh and gesture is awesome. Five stars. The Guardian

It’s a challenging meditation and memory, but performed with such a droll tension that it’s also a deliciously entertaining kind of dance theatre. The Guardian
